• Calendar Access: We create events in your calendar based on the dates we extract

How We Use Your Data

We use your data exclusively to provide the Family Sync service:

• Extract event dates from school email attachments
• Create calendar events in your personal calendar
• Track sync history so you can see what events were created
• Store your preferences and settings

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely:

• OAuth Tokens: Stored encrypted in our database, used only to access your email/calendar on your behalf
• Email Metadata: We store email subjects and dates processed (not full content)
• Events: We track which events were created in sync logs
• Location: All data stored in UK West Azure region

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

• All connections use HTTPS encryption
• OAuth tokens are stored securely
• Database access is restricted
• Regular security updates applied

Data Isolation

Your data is completely isolated from other users:

• Each user has a separate account
• User data is never mixed or shared between accounts
• You can only see your own emails, events, and sync logs

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• Access: View all your data in the dashboard
• Delete: Request account deletion (deletes all your data)
• Revoke Access: Disconnect integrations at any time
• Export: Request a copy of your data

You can revoke Family Sync's access at any time:

• Google: Visit Google Account Permissions
• Microsoft: Visit Microsoft App Permissions
• Dashboard: Disconnect integrations from your Family Sync dashboard
